FAQs

What is this event?
The Circle For Life is a motorcycle rally open to individuals and clubs. We ride to raise awareness of organ donation registration.

Why is this important?
There is a critical shortage of organs, tissues and eyes available for donation. There are more than 96,000 patients in the United States awaiting transplantation – more than 7,000 are Texans.

Where do we ride?
We start at Javelina Harley Davidson – 12 miles from Loop 1604 on IH-10 (Fair Oaks Exit), ride into San Antonio and circle the city on Loop 410, then take the Fiesta Flambeau route to Sunset Station in downtown San Antonio for an after party featuring food, fun and a raffle for prizes.

How far is the ride?
The ride is approximately 85 miles.

Do we ride in a group?
Yes, we ride together, escorted by the San Antonio Police Department.

How do I register for the ride?
Click the registration button on any page in this website.

Do I have to be an organ, tissue and eye donor to ride?
No, anyone can join the ride.

When I register for the ride, am I registering as an organ, tissue and eye donor?
No, but you can register as an organ, tissue and eye donor at the Circle For Life celebration, or register on-line.

How long does the ride take?
It takes about 2 ½ hours to make the ride and arrive at Sunset Station. Then we celebrate for another couple of hours.

Can I have a passenger?
Yes. Passenger registration is optional, but if you want an extra Circle For Life t-shirt, Circle For Life Fiesta Pin or raffle ticket for your passenger, you need to register both of you. If you just want to buy lunch for your passenger, you can pay for it at Sunset Station.

Can my motorcycle club participate?
Absolutely. Wear your colors, ride as a group. We love to have you represented. Each rider needs to register individually, and you are responsible for finding each other at the start in Boerne.

What happens in the case of inclement weather on the day of the ride?
We will ride out rain or shine. The ride will only be canceled if the weather is severe enough to cancel San Antonio's annual Fiesta celebration.
